NAHJ offers scholarships and fellowships for Hispanic journalists. They give students the choice of either receiving scholarship funds for their academic year or participating in a sponsored trip to the NAHJ national conference. This sponsored trip covers registration fees, travel expenses, hotel accommodations, and meals. Attending the conference provides a valuable experience that frequently opens up additional opportunities for our students.

Our fellows form a distinctive community of intellectuals and writers, focusing on a wide array of topics including labor and racial justice, the environmental crisis, and international affairs.

The Ted Scripps Fellowships in Environmental Journalism provide $80,000 stipends to five journalism professionals for a nine-month period of study at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Scholars at Risk collaborates with its extensive network of higher education institutions worldwide to facilitate short-term, temporary research and teaching opportunities for scholars facing threats. Additionally, we offer advisory, referral, and career support services to scholars in need.
